Francesca Capobianchi (EMAM 2000)
"The EMAM has further structured my understanding of the media industry as a whole, with in-depth lectures by industry executives in market research, marketing strategies, legal aspects and the business of film in general. I actually started as line producer in production, loving cinema as an Art. This Master course made me think of cinema also as an Industry".
Francesca Capobianchi started working in the film industry in 2001, after a degree in Philosophy and a six month specialised training provided by the EMAM - European Master in Audiovisual Management which included an internship at Rizzoli Audiovisivi in Rome.
In August 2001 Francesca worked for La Biennale, 58a Mostra del Cinema di Venezia at Industry Office dealing with organisation and accreditation of international producers, distributors, sales agents, exhibitors.
Then, she joined Sharada, an independent film distribution company based in Rome, where she handled advertising campaigns, theatrical releases and materials. She was also responsible for the homevideo and dvd exploitation in collaboration with consultant companies. When Sharada started selling Italian titles abroad, she also attented the leading Festivals and Markets.
Early in 2003 Francesca moved to Revolver a new Rome based distribution company to become their Marketing Manager and Sales executive, in charge of overseeing their film advertising campaign.
