Danila Colamatteo (EMAM 2001)
The EMAM course gave me the great opportunity to gradually approach the working reality within the audiovisual domain after completing my university studies. Many professionals provided us with concrete tools to fill in the gap between theoretical and practical approach.
After successfully completing the course, I had a 3 month internship at Paramount Pictures (Television Group) of Rome. This has been a useful experience where I could learn how the television distribution of a major does work, thanks to a great staff (from both human and professional side) I am still in contact with. The Paramount experience has been a very good gate to enter the job reality. My objective has always been working in the independent production. Just two weeks after finishing the internship, I was already working at Panorama Films (Rome), where I am still working, as office/production secretary. While working I improved the comprehension of what stands behind the creation of an audiovisual product.
A great will to learn and a very good relationship established with the people who work within this production company, have offered me the possibility to work in a great project that Panorama Films is currently producing at Cinecittà with H.B.O.: a TV series about the ancient Romans called ROME. More or less one year and a half after completing the EMAM activities I have a starting position in a big project as 1st production assistant/key production support.
